Flowjob started in 2001 when I bought my first pc and Virus synthesizer.. I have always been interested in music and have been playing guitar in various bands when I was a teenager.. I became into Trance in 1993, when I met some people that introduced me to this new culture and sound that literally blew me away. 1993 was the year Eat Static released their “Abduction” Album and Juno reactor released “Transmission”. These albums were my first encounters into electronic music. The year after the whole Goa wave started, and I was diggin it. After a few years on the dancefloor on various places on earth, I started my own productions.. I had several friends from around Iboga that were already doing it, so I learned quickly and started to release and play shortly after.. My good friend Mads joined forces in 2003.. We have been knowing eachother since childhood and even played in a band together when we were teens.. He is a drummer, I a Guitarist.. So it was only natural that we would make electronic music together since that was our common interest.. After a few releases on Iboga, and Tribal vision we made our first album “Support Normality” in 2006. It was moody, a little psy, but also containing elemets of house. The most famous track from that album is clearly the opening track “Run Baby Run”. After that we got our name a little around and had many gigs in Mexico, Brasil and most of Europe, on festivals such as Fusion, Universo Paralello and Glade. We released some more tracks for compilations, Jessica Lee, Born Different, to name a few, and in 2008 we came with the follow up, “Zentertainment”, which was a bit more pumped up and kind of “rolling”. Nowadays Mads is not doing music with me anymore. The thing is he got a serious bag injury, a slipdisc. He don’t sit down very well and flights and tours is out of the question. We are still best friends and hope to make some tracks together again in the future. Now I am working on my 3rd album, which hopefully will be finished in May 2011. In 2010 I released some tracks that shows the new direction.. Daily Dragons on Iboga/Tribal vision cd Crosslink 2 and a track called “Read my hips” on a Iboga Digi compilation.. That track became a huge hit on Beatport and shows Flowjob from a bit more edgy and twisted side, which you will hear more of in the future even though there also will be some more melodic trancy stuff to find on the coming album. Furthermore I relased a single called “Raveheart” with another track called “Ufo info”.. (Iboga Records 2010). My philosophy behind Flowjob is: Respect the people who listens to you, and still be true to yourself. Always have the motion, the vibe in each track. Keep it groovy, but keep it huge. Music is not dj tools only, therefore I like long, detailled, ambient intros. I spend hours on stuff like that. My inspiration comes from both nowadays music, but also stuff from the nineties where I had my first musical revelations. I love the way the progressive music is grooving nowadays, but I also love the pure, and a bit naïve, planetary vibe of earlier stuff. I hope you can hear that in my music. I don’t have any formula, just heart and ears.. My new music probably wont seem as happy as the Zentertainment stuff. My new thing is strange organic and abrupt sounds that appear out of nowhere and out of sequence build on a groovy platform.
