Don't Explain is the tenth solo studio album by Robert Palmer, released in 1990. During the course of its 18 tracks, Palmer displays rock, R&B, jazz and Bahamian influences. It featured two UK top 10 hits with covers of Bob Dylan's "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" – collaboration with UB40 – and Marvin Gaye's cover "Mercy Mercy Me". Several classic songs are covered, as well. The album peaked at number 9 in the UK and number 88 in the US. The album was certified UK Gold by BPI in November 1990.
