"Physical" is a song by English singer Dua Lipa, released as the second single from her second studio album Future Nostalgia (2020). The song was written by Lipa, Sarah Hudson, Clarence Coffee Jr and Jason Evigan and produced by the former alongside Koz. It was released on 31 January 2020 through Warner Records on digital platforms globally and contemporary hit radio in the United Kingdom. The lyrics of the song describe elation experienced within a relationship, interpolating lyrics from the 1981 single of the same name by Olivia Newton-John. A remix featuring South Korean singer Hwasa from Mamamoo was released on 18 March 2020.
"Physical" is a synth-pop and pop rock song with influences of 1980s disco. Upon its release, the song was acclaimed by music critics, who praised its catchiness and production. "Physical" was also commercially successful, reaching the top 40 in most of the territories it charted in. The song became Lipa's eighth top 10 in the United Kingdom, reaching number three and gaining a silver certification. It also became her ninth song to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The accompanying music video for "Physical" premiered on Lipa's official YouTube channel on 31 January 2020. It was filmed in Barcelona, Spain by Lope Serrano and depicts Lipa dancing in a set, containing various colour-coded sections and animated visuals. The music video was based upon Order and Cleanliness (1981), a conceptual diagram by Swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss. It was commended by critics for its hidden meaning and its colourful visuals.
