Stars Dance is the debut studio album by american singer and actress Selena Gomez, released on July 23, 2013, through Hollywood Records. She had previously released three records with her band Selena Gomez & the Scene, which began a hiatus in 2012. The album was influenced by artists such as Britney Spears and Skrillex. Musically, the album is rooted in electronic, pop, dance and dubstep while also containing strong elements of techno, disco and teen pop genres.
