Hugh Coltman is an English singer and musician born in 1972. He formed the blues rock band The Hoax in 1991 alongside Jesse and Robin Davey, Jon Amor and Mark Barrett. The band releases three studio albums and a live album, touring Europe, the United States and Australia, alongside John Lee Hooker, B.B. King and Buddy Guy.
After the separation of The Hoax in 1999, Hugh Coltman settled in Paris. He played on stage with the band Heez Bus before starting a solo career in 2004 by starting to write songs for his first album, Stories From the Safe House, published on October 27, 2008
