Lawson are a four-piece pop rock band based in London. Originally from Liverpool, Brighton, Nottingham and Chesterfield; Andy Brown, Adam Pitts, Joel Peat and Ryan Fletcher all moved to London to follow their dreams. After a couple of jams, songwriting sessions, a few nights out, and some trips to London's Westfield shopping centre, the lads realized these were the friends they wanted to start the next chapter of their lives with. Lawson was born. The When She Was Mine Songfacts reports that their name comes from Dr David Lawson, a surgeon who successfully operated on Brown when he had a brain tumor. Their debut single 'When She Was Mine' charted at #4 in the UK and second single 'Taking Over Me' entered at #3. The band are now preparing to release their album Chapman Square, following a third single - fan favourite 'Standing In The Dark'.
