Like A Storm is a hard rock band from Auckland, New Zealand, best known for combining heavy baritone guitar riffs and hard rock songs with didgeridoo. Formed by brothers Chris, Matt & Kent Brooks, Like A Storm have shared American & European stages with Alter Bridge, Korn, Shinedown, Black Veil Brides, Creed, Puddle of Mudd, Staind, Sick Puppies, and many others, as well as touring North America extensively as a headline act. Like A Storm are the highest charting New Zealand hard rock band in American radio history, and the only New Zealand band to ever break the US Active Rock Top 20. The first single from Like A Storm's latest album Awaken The Fire, Love The Way You Hate Me spent 5 weeks at #1 on US satellite station Sirius XM Octane, and received significant airplay on radio stations all over the US, Europe and New Zealand. The official music video became a viral hit, with over 2 million Youtube views. Love The Way You Hate Me peaked at #22 in the U.S Active Rock Chart, making it the highest charting song by a New Zealand Hard Rock band to date. Like A Storm's subsequent single, Wish You Hell, charted even higher - at #18, it is the only song by a New Zealand artist to break the Top 20 on US Active Rock Radio. Love the Way You Hate Me pioneered a sound referred to as "Didgeridoo Metal", which features singer Chris Brooks playing the didgeridoo, combining the ancient instrument with progressive metal and hard rock influences.
