With over 10 years of experience, Mike Tompkins is a remarkably accomplished recording engineer, mixer, and sound designer with a very impressive list of credits in a range of mediums.
In 2007, Mike was deemed a “recording ace” by the London Free Press after spending that year engineering and producing acclaimed releases including Shad’s Juno and Polaris nominated album “The Old Prince” (BlackBox/Fontana), Elephant’s ambitious debut “The Violet Hour” (Nevado/Fontana), and popular London band Hue’s self-titled release.
Mike refined his gift for capturing and creating sounds at the renowed Ontario Insitute of Audio Recording Technology (OIART). While completing the rigorous and comprehensive OIART curriculum, Mike continued to work on a range of projects for music and film. In addition to his growing reputation and a multi-talented engineer, mixer, and sound designer, Mike has received high praise from his clients who, aside from his obvious skill, also greatly appreciate his diligence and positivity on their projects.
