There are several different bands named Pollen described on this page. One was a pop punk band originally from Pittsburgh, then moved to Tempe, AZ. Pollen was Dan Hargest (Vocals), Kevin Scanlon (Guitar), Chris Serafini (Bass), Mike Bennett (Guitar), and Bob Hoag (Drums). Bob was the primary songwriter. They disbanded in 2001. Releases include Bluette (Grass Records - 1994), Crescent (Grass Records - 1995), Peach Tree (Wind-Up Records - 1997), Chip (Fueled By Ramen, 2000). They also release a split album with the band Co-Ed. An unrelated band was founded by singer and songwriter Lindsay Black in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1998. In the 70's a progressive rock band from Quebec named Pollen released one LP. Pollen was lead by Jacques Tom Rivest's vocals, bass, and acoustic guitar; Sylvian Coutu on the drums and vibraphone; Claude Lemay on the keyboard and flute; and Richard Lemoyne electric and acoustic guitar. Pollen is also the name of a hardcore punk / d-beat band from Philadelphia, PA.
